M y second attempt at a scenery painting and let me tell you, this one thoroughly kicked my ass.

The sheer scope of this undertaking is difficult for me to convey to you. I worked on it every single day for over a month… And indeed, it isn’t even finished. On first glance you might have missed it, but if you look at the center near the shoreline, you can clearly see trees and such missing. The sky, mountain, shore and water all need further detailing. I told you this one broke me :p

Why are you sharing an unfinished piece? Because that’s also part of life. We start projects and then abandon them before seeing it through to the end. I also think it is actually a beautiful piece, even as is. I simply haven’t found the motivation to go back and finish it yet, and I’m not sure I ever will. I figure it would take me another two weeks minimum to fully complete it. My priorities don’t permit me that kind of commitment, so time will tell if I’ll ever finish it properly. Still hope you can appreciate it for what it is.
